RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 159 – December 4, 2022 Donald Link Memorial – Thanksgiving Thunder – Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models – East Lincoln Motor Spe

STANLEY, N.C – Jay Sessoms scored the home track win in the 40-lap Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model feature Sunday in the Donald Link Memorial – Thanksgiving Thunder race at East Lincoln Motor Speedway.

Matthew Nance started on the pole position and had a strong first half of the race, with Sessom settling into third. On a lap 22 restart the Nance car slowed and stopped in turn two giving the top spot to Sessoms. From there he rolled to victory. It was his third series win of the season and seventh overall.

Dylan Watson and Robbie Bailey completed the top three.

Other winners were; Bobby Jones in the Open Wheel Modifieds, David Lucas in the Thunder Bombers, Nick Milstead in the Renegades, Jerry Oliver in the Pro Stock 4s, Allen Wyatt in Front Wheel Drives, and Alex Galloway with his career-first victory in the Next Generation Kids Series.
