RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 140 – October 18, 2022 Tuesday Night Racing – Millbridge Speedway
SALISBURY, N.C. – Jayden Cordell won a thriller in the 20-lap Box Stock Feature Tuesday night at Millbridge Speedway. It was his first Box Stock win of the season; he does have five JR Wing victories on Tuesday nights.
Grayson Price grabbed the early lead in the Box Stock feature and opened a comfortable margin as the laps wound down. A caution on lap 17 changed everything and as the drivers got back up to speed Price spun in turn two.
That handed the top spot to Zoey Smith for the three-lap run to the finish, Cordell passed her and as the white flag waved she passed him back. Cordell got a run off the final corner and scored the win by .055-second. Smith was second with Brody Snyder third.
In the Beginner Box Stock feature it was Konner Leicht scoring his second win of the year. Kolson Nelson won the 20 lap JR Wing race; with Slate Harrell in the Cadet A feature and Brantlee Lamb in the Cadet B event.
