RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 135 – October 5, 2022 Wednesday Night Racing – Millbridge Speedway
SALISBURY, N.C. – Brent Crew scored a perfect night Tuesday at Millbridge Speedway; quick time, heat race win and victory in the 30-lap feature. It was his sixth win for the year on Tuesdays at the track.
Crews set himself up well for the feature with the dice roll for the inversion; the options were 0, 4 or 8 and he rolled the zero. That put him on the pole position and at the drop of the green he opened a commanding advantage.
A long green-flag run put Crew into heavy lapped traffic allowing second-running Nick Drake to close considerably. Drake was alongside a few times, but Crews was able to fend off the challenge and get the victory. Drake was second with Jesse Love third.
Coen McDaniel was strong picking up the victory in the 15-lap Intermediate Outlaw Kart victory and Adam Welch won a thriller in the 20-lap Buggies race.
