RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 128 – September 17, 2022 Tuesday Night Racing – Millbridge Speedway
SALISBURY, N.C. – Payton Johnson scored a dominant victory in the 20-lap Box Stock feature Tuesday at Millbridge Speedway. It was his first win of the season at the track.
Johnson started in the second spot and took the lead from Kolson Nelson off turn four as they completed the second lap. From there is was an impressive run for Johnson as he cruised to the comfortable victory. Nelson held onto second with Wyatt Miller third.
The race of the night was the 15-lap Beginner Box Stocks as a late race caution brought the field in on Brexton Busch who had raced to a comfortable lead. Tanner Tucker and Konner Leicht got a great restart and were inside Busch on the green-white-checkered race to the finish. Busch powered around the outside of turn four to get the win by about half a car length over Tucker. Leicht finished third.
Other winners were: Kolson Nelson in the 20-lap JR Wing race, Brantlee Lamb in the Cadet A-Main, Maddon Lykins in the Cabet B-Main with Everette Knorr winning the Cadet C-Main.
