RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 127 – September 17, 2022 Southeast Super Truck Series – Lonesome Pine Raceway, Coeburn Va. (New Track No. 231)

COEBURN, Va. – Lance Gatlin swept the two 30-lap Southeast Limited Late Model Features Saturday night at Lonesome Pine Raceway. Those were his second and third wins of the 2022 season on the tour.

Gatlin started fourth in the first feature and wasted little time moving to the front. Local racer Josh Gobble lead the first lap, but Gatlin was able to move past by the completion of the second lap. He was strong over the balance of the race to get the win. Eugene Norton finished second with Gobble third.

In the second race, Gatlin started fifth and was patient moving to the front, taking the point midway through the feature. From there he was flawless getting the victory over T.J. Lollis and Bryce Applegate.

Other winners were: D.J. Canipe in the 50-lap Super Truck feature, Brody Gunter in the 20-lap Legends headliner, Hunter Jordan in the 20-lap Bandolero feature and Josh Weston in the 25-lap Vintage main.
