RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 104 – August 12, 2022 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars -- #HardKnox Night – Knoxville Raceway

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – Rico Abreu won the 25-lap World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series #HardKnox feature, locking himself into the 61st Knoxville Nationals. It was his second consecutive win in this race.

Abreu started on the front row, took the green and despite a few cautions never looked back. His car and driving were flawless and with each restart he was able to put distance between himself and the rest of the field. Behind him, the battle for the final four transfer spots was intense.

Kerry Madsen was strong and scored a second-place finish. Sheldon Haudenschild raced from eighth to get the third finishing spot. Brian Brown made a bold move on the final restart to secure the fourth spot and another berth into the Knoxville Nationals.
