RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 98: August 2, 2022 Cook Out Summer Shootout – Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. – Round 10 of the Cookout Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway was Tuesday, with Champions crowned for the 2022 season.

The Boston Reed Real Estate Pro Division had Jensen Jorgensen race from sixth spot to the victory, his fifth of the season. Landen Lewis finished third and took home the big prize, the 2022 Season Championship. Jordan Black completed a strong season with a second-place finish.

The tightest battle was for the Masters division championship with Robbie Woodall and Brandon McKenzie separated by only two points, the equivalent of one position. Both drivers had moments of struggle as Kevin Foisy and Lee Jordon raced at the front of the field, ultimately finishing first and second. Woodall recovered to finish third and earn his third consecutive series crown.

Lucas Vera scored his second VP Racing Semi Pro win of the season, but it was Carson Brown winning the Championship. T.J. DeCaire was the winner of the Young Lions feature, with Carson Haislip earning the title.

Kaeden Ballos won his third Bandolero Outlaws feature as well as the Championship. Ben Morabito was the Bandolers Bandits race winner with Darren Krantz Jr. crowned the Champion. And, Wyatt Coffey won his sixth feature of the season in the Beginner Bandoleros.
