2022 Race No. 47: April 30, 2022 USAC East Coast Sprints/Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series – Bridgeport Motorsports Park
Briggs Danner won for the fifth time, in seven races, on the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series at Bridgeport Motorsports Park. Also, Dave Brown won the 25-lap Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature.
The 25-lap USAC feature started with David Swanson jumping to the early lead, he led the first two laps before Joey Amentea took command. He led until lap six when Danner made his move to the inside and to the lead. While Danner led the balance of the feature, he had to survive a few restarts to get the win. Alex Bright and Billy Pauch Jr. finished second and third.
Dave Brown jumped into the lead early in the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature and was masterful working lapped traffic. Late in the race, Jon Brennfleck made a good challenge but had to settle for second with Rory Janney third. The race ran caution-free and was completed in 6 minutes and 33 seconds.
Brandon Shipley won the 602 Sportsman feature with Lee Allen scoring the Street Stock victory.
