2022 Race No. 28 – Saturday, April 2, 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series – Richmond Raceway
Ty Gibbs won his third NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season in the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway.
The race was dominated by Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Gibbs and John Hunter Nemechek who led all but one lap of the race. In the end it came down to a last lap pushing and shoving match between the two with Gibbs getting the victory by a martin of .166-seconds.
A frustrated Nemechek finished second. Sam Mayer finished a career-best third and collected a $100,000 Dash for Cash Bonus from series sponsor Xfinity.
