2022 Race No. 24 – Saturday, March 26, 2022 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Models – Cherokee Speedway, Gaffney, S.C.

The $20,000 to win Rock Gualt Memorial Saturday night feature for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Models at Cherokee Speedway was also the finale for the Drydene Xtreme DirtCar Series.

Brandon Sheppard, the reigning World of Outlaws Champion, jumped from the pole position and looked strong as he built a commanding advantage. Timing and lapped traffic would strike as he worked off turn four a bobble by a lapped car clipped the 77-time series winner sending him around.

Max Blair, who was passed Friday night in lapped traffic for the lead, was second and took the top spot. He led the final 43 laps on his way to his fourth career series win. The win extended his advantage in the series Rookie of the Year race.

Ross Bailes settled for second in the race, but that was good enough for him to claim the $15,000 Drydene Xtreme DirtCar Series Championship. Daulton Wilson finished third.
