2022 Race No. 21 – Saturday, March 19, 2022 SMART Modifieds – Southern National Motorsports Park, Kenley, N.C.
Round two of the 2022 SMART Modified Tour Season ended the same as the first round – with “Big Money” Matt Hirschman in victory lane. The win in the Lucky Charms 99 was his 204th career victory in a modified race car.
Joey Coulter jumped to the early lead and set a rapid pace for the 25-car field. A caution on lap 59 brought pitstops and once back to green flag racing Hirschman took control. Over the final 10 laps of the race Max McLaughlin got around Hirschman briefly in lapped traffic. But Hirschman was too strong in wrestling the lead back for the win.
